I’m guessing that somewhere in Hayward, there is a stolen car that’s missing its front bumper. (This truck’s been sitting there for more than a week in this condition.)

Way too often I see cars that are scary fucked up, parked on the side of the road near me. I feel like this is never something I saw on the east coast. Seems to be quite the LA thing. Makes me very glad to have indoor, secured parking at home.

Can somebody tell me why Californians are always crashing into parked cars? This seems to be the only state where this sort of accident occurs on a minute by minute basis. Does everybody just drive up against the curb or what?

Rust removes most vehicles in poor shape from the road long before this sort of thing can happen.

I’ve also got a few bits on average intelligence and what it takes to survive in a warm  climate vs one where you couldn’t walk around outside naked all year long, but I’ve been told it’s rude to share those.

Lane splitting seems pretty safe to me. It was unsettling at first but I think it should just be legal everywhere. There should be more enforcement of the speed differential laws though since unsafe Lane splitting is certainly dangerous.
